I have a needy Montreal project. It is a german-delivered car. It was brought over to Australia a few years ago and somebody started to 'restore' it. By the time I bought it many parts were missing so I am in the process of collecting the bits I need. It will be a long process but I am committed to doing it correctly.

I also have a restored 1966 Giulia Super and a 1966 GT Veloce as well.

Thanks Didier and Niamkoko. There are not many Montreals in Australia. Marco Fazio at Alfa Romeo told me there were 74 sold new to Australia. I think there would be about 25-30 still on the road. Many have been sold to England and Japan because they are RHD. I know of about 7 that are undergoing restoration. I am making a list of all the parts I will need for my car. Hopefully I will find the parts for reasonable prices as I am not in a rush. I will also make a website to document the restoration. The Giulia Super was neglected for many years before I bought it. I drove it to work for a few years and then decided to give it some love. My GT Veloce hasn't been on the road for many years and has been moved through many people's garages. I am in contact with a previous owner who was a pilot in Papua New Guinea. He took the car up there with him. I think it would have been the only one in the country!

For spare parts : you might be disapointed by the price. As the Montreal price is rising like a rocket to the moon, spare parts follow the same way.
Lucky you are, because in this forum you have lot of tutorial to restore in a cheap way and of course good quality. but when talking of mechanical parts, it starts to be difficult to make cheap.
if i have one advise for you, it is this one : be carefull with your back windscreen. if you brake it your are in a deep sh....
this item is the most rare item IN THE WORLD.

before you painted it fully white, was is it usual to have 2 colors for the Giulia Super in Australia ?

Regarding the GTV, did you get the full package ? the car and the girl ?

Hahaha, I think that girl would be 60 years old now as the photo was taken in the 1970's! I am only 37 so she is too old for me! Yes it was unusual to a two-tone Alfa. The previous owner told me he painted the roof blue because it looked more 'european' ....

I have found some good parts recently like a distributor without cap and rotor for 200euro last week and some used taillights for 120 euro ( one needs to be repaired)

I need to find a pair of front seats and door cards next.

I will take great care of my rear screen!

I will enjoy making the engine look new again like I did with my Super
